Histories of Photography Mondays 4 Sep – 23 Oct, 18.30-20.00
Led by Jelena Stojković this course follows some of the main trajectories through which photography’s histories unfolded over the course of around 150 years (1830s – 1980s), such as the relationship with technology, science and other art forms.
This workshop provides an introduction to participatory and collaborative photography practices.
It covers: ethics, safe practices, creative methodologies, consent procedures, partnerships, and photography and social change. It provides conceptual and practical tools to help you plan, manage and publicise your project. It is suitable for anyone who is undertaking or planning a photography project based on participatory or collaborative methods.
Jonathan Lovekin will introduce the historical and contemporary framework for the genre of still life and food photography. Shooting alongside Lovekin, you will spend time photographing at a London market and in the studio. The emphasis will be on composition, colour and lighting.
