Beautiful and inspiring work, however I think Photographers Gallery should re-define the meaning of Photography and what it stands for. The choice of work seems to be very predictable, even if it does not have anything to do with photography. It does not apply or touch the photography practice. It is FINE ART. I don’t think it should classify in this genre and in this gallery. And if you are fashion photographer you might as well don’t enter the doors of this institution, or if you are from London College of Fashion they will never even glance at your work. Hypocrites.
Dear Marcus, thanks for your comment. Last year we were really happy to exhibit the historically important work of Claire Aho, the Finnish fashion and commercial photographer. http://thephotographersgallery.org.uk/claire-aho-studio-works-3 We hope you enjoy your next visit to the gallery.
